The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through its charity organization known as LDS Charities has continued to bless the lives of many Ugandans especially during this Covid-19 lockdown. The church donated food items including posho, rice, matooke, beans and sugar to many needy families in Uganda. This was done in partnership with other charity organizations like JB Caring Hearts International and Reach the Children Uganda who helped identify and reach out to the various regions and people who needed these food items. The food was delivered in person to each individual and family.

The food was delivered to different parts of the country including the locations around the central region of Kampala, in the eastern districts of Jinja and Mbale, and in the northern districts Kikuubi and other areas where these organizations operate. In all the locations, the people were filled with gratitude for the support and assistance given to them. On one occasion, one of the benefactors in her own words said, “I can’t find the words to express how grateful I am to my saviors this day, for they have rescued me from the bands of hunger that were going to murder me during this quarantine. I owe this organization a lot for they have done, much better, than I could expect.”
