A Sixth Mormon Chapel in Uganda to be Opened

Over the years, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kabowa, Kampala, have been meeting in a rented a facility in the area. They have been waiting to see a day when they could have their own meetinghouse as a congregation.

A piece of property was bought by the church recently and construction of a meetinghouse commenced. It has been a couple of months now since then and soon a magnificent building will be opened to allow the members the opportunity of worshipping in their own meetinghouse.

Completion of this meeting house will bring the number of meeting houses constructed by the Church in Uganda to six with three others under way, which include Seeta where the ground has been broken, Nsambya and Kajjansi.

These buildings bring with them a feeling of growth to the local members of the church and provide a more spiritual enronment in which to worship on Sundays by providing a more organized setting.

On completion, the Church will hold a ceremony in which they will invite members of the public, the media, opinion leaders and other guests to take a tour of the facility and ask questions about the church.
